I have not done much glass work recently, so decided to use my time and available supplies to see what comes. I had accumulated a number of cabinet door frames built especially for glass inserts, but rejected by the builder for their modest imperfections. Flaws have never hindered my creativity before and in the spirit of non-consumptive creativity, I was able to gather from my inventory enough bevels (4"x7" diamonds), glass (clear water), lead came and zinc to complete the pattern. Using old came has its challenges, but these are not insurmountable with care and "elbow grease".
I am pleased with the result, but now I must build a cabinet to fit the doors. In the meantime, they will filter light through a window, propped securely on the sill.
